My background is digital marketing, software, and data systems. That work teaches you how information moves, who controls it, and how easily it gets buried. When I moved to the Pocono Mountains, I started noticing how much of what happens in small-county government, courts, and nonprofits never gets covered. Not because it isn't newsworthy. Because there's no one left to cover it.

I use a pen name because the work is bigger than the byline. Anonymity, used honestly, has always been part of how accountability gets done in this country. Thomas Paine published *Common Sense* signed only "Written by an Englishman." He understood the argument had to stand on its own, without his name attached to soften it or discredit it. Hamilton, Madison, and Jay wrote the Federalist Papers as "Publius," a shared pseudonym, because they were making a case, not building a personal brand.

That tradition didn't end in the 18th century. Whistleblowers, leak sources, and loose leaderless movements like Anonymous all made the same bet: some truths are worth telling even if the messenger stays out of the frame.
