EAST STROUDSBURG, PA – A 55-year-old Bangor woman is wanted on a bench warrant in Monroe County after failing to appear for her sixth scheduled preliminary hearing on drug charges stemming from a July 2024 incident at Lehigh Valley Hospital Pocono.
According to Stroud Area Regional Police, on July 12, 2024, around 3:21 p.m., Officer Robert B. Farris responded to the hospital after a nurse reported finding suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia on a patient. EMTs who transported Randi Lee Snook to the hospital had warned nursing staff about hypodermic needles found among her possessions.
Hospital staff placed Snook’s belongings in a plastic bag and turned them over to police. When Officer Farris searched the bag, he found:
- Two SD card cases, one containing white powdery residue
- Multiple hypodermic needles, including one containing suspected narcotics
- An unknown vape cartridge
- Two plexiglass rectangles
A criminal complaint was filed on July 18, 2024. Magisterial District Judge Michael A. Wolbert issued a bench warrant on October 21, 2025, after Snook failed to appear for court proceedings.
Snook is charged with:
- Possession of a controlled substance (misdemeanor)
- Possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor) – five counts
Anyone with information on Snook’s whereabouts is asked to contact Stroud Area Regional Police or submit an anonymous tip through Monroe County CrimeWatch.
Six Court Dates, No Hearing
Snook’s case has been continued five times since charges were filed, with the sixth hearing resulting in the bench warrant.
The preliminary hearing was originally scheduled for March 4, 2025, before Magisterial District Judge Paul J. Gasper. It was continued to March 18, then transferred to Judge Wolbert and rescheduled for June 17. Additional continuances pushed the hearing to July 15, then July 22, and finally October 21.
Snook was briefly jailed in February 2025 after a preliminary arraignment when she was unable to post $500 bail. She was released the following day after her daughter, Chelsea Snook, posted the cash.
When Snook failed to appear for the October 21 hearing, Judge Wolbert issued the bench warrant and the case status changed to inactive.
