Nasal Spray Recall Affects Poconos CVS, Walmart Stores: FDA Warns of Mold, Bacterial Contamination

Poconos residents who purchased ReBoost or ClearLife nasal sprays should stop using them immediately and return them for a refund, following an expanded FDA recall this week.

The homeopathic products—sold at CVS and Walmart locations throughout Monroe, Wayne, Pike, and Lackawanna counties—were found to contain yeast, mold, and bacterial contamination at levels exceeding safety limits.

Manufacturer MediNatura New Mexico is recalling all lots of both products. The contamination includes Achromobacter, a bacteria that can cause life-threatening infections in immunocompromised individuals.
