Pennsylvania Lottery This Week: $1 Million Powerball Winner in PA as Jackpot Soars to $1.5 Billion

Check your tickets: Pocono residents among Pennsylvanians chasing historic jackpots heading into holiday weekend

Someone in Pennsylvania is $1 million richer today—and the winning ticket’s location hasn’t been announced yet.

The December 17 Powerball drawing produced no grand prize winner, pushing the jackpot to an estimated $1.5 billion for Saturday’s drawing. But a Pennsylvania ticket matched all five white balls to claim a $1 million prize, one of only six million-dollar winners nationwide.

If you bought a Powerball ticket this week anywhere in Monroe County, Wayne County, Pike County, or the surrounding Pocono region, now is the time to check your numbers.

Powerball: Wednesday, December 17

Winning Numbers: 25 – 33 – 53 – 62 – 66

Powerball: 17

Power Play: 4X

Double Play: 24 – 43 – 65 – 66 – 68 | Powerball: 3

Wednesday’s drawing was the 44th consecutive Powerball drawing without a jackpot winner—a new record for the longest streak in the game’s history. The $1.5 billion jackpot for Saturday ranks as the fifth-largest in Powerball history and the second-largest of 2025.

The Pennsylvania Lottery has not yet announced where the million-dollar ticket was sold. Winners have 180 days to claim prizes.

The Pennsylvania winner matched all five white balls but missed the red Powerball. Two other players—in Arizona and Massachusetts—won $2 million each by adding the Power Play option to their tickets.

Saturday’s Drawing: December 20, 10:59 p.m. | Jackpot: $1.5 billion (cash option: $686.5 million)

Mega Millions: Tuesday, December 16

Winning Numbers: 20 – 24 – 46 – 59 – 65

Mega Ball: 7

No ticket matched all six numbers in Tuesday’s $80 million drawing. The jackpot climbs to $90 million for Friday night.

Friday’s Drawing: December 19, 11 p.m. | Jackpot: $90 million (cash option: $40.8 million)
