Woman Wanted for Stealing Prada Sunglasses From Sunglass Hut in Tannersville — Twice

TANNERSVILLE, PA, MONROE COUNTY — Pocono Township police are trying to identify a woman they say has stolen Prada sunglasses from the same Sunglass Hut store on two separate occasions within a two-week span.

The most recent theft occurred on April 14, 2026, at approximately 5:19 p.m. at the Sunglass Hut located at 1000 Premium Outlets Drive inside the Pocono Premium Outlets. The woman entered the store, took a pair of Prada sunglasses, and walked out without paying. She fled the area in a gray Volkswagen SUV, police said.

Investigators determined the same woman is responsible for a nearly identical theft at the same store on March 30 at approximately 3:45 p.m., when she again took a pair of Prada sunglasses and left without paying.

Suspect Description Released

The suspect is described as a white female with light blonde hair pulled up, wearing glasses with tinted lenses, a dark gray hooded jacket with a fur-lined hood, a white top underneath, gray pants, and dark shoes. She appeared to be carrying a dark-colored bag. A surveillance image captured outside the Pocono Premium Outlets entrance shows her in what appears to be broad daylight.

Prada sunglasses typically retail between $300 and $600 per pair, meaning the suspect’s combined take from the two thefts could exceed $1,000 — a threshold that under Pennsylvania law elevates retail theft from a misdemeanor to a felony of the third degree, carrying up to seven years in prison.

Police released the surveillance image and are asking anyone who recognizes the woman to come forward. Tips can be submitted anonymously through the department’s CrimeWatch page or by contacting Officer J. Bianchi at jbianchi@poconopd.org. The Sunglass Hut at the Pocono Premium Outlets carries high-end brands including Prada, Versace, Ray-Ban, and Oakley, making it a recurring target for shoplifters along the Route 611 retail corridor in Pocono Township, Monroe County — one of the busiest commercial stretches in northeastern Pennsylvania.

All individuals referenced in this report are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
